Tony Julianelle (2022)

Not much has changed for me in the last few years.

I continue to teach full-time at U. of Vermont.

I am fortunate to enjoy basic good health although my doctor has told me to expect changes as, "I gather more life experiences"😊.  Still get out for some year-round hiking and running and snow shoeing and back country skiing in winter. Often with my springer spaniel, Brandie.

Ruth is retired from IBM for about 9 years now but does work part-time at the local quilt shop. The perfect retirement job for her.

Our daughter Claire is a nurse working the grave yard shift at the NICU at the UVM med center, and our other daughter Adele works as an engineer for Medtronics in North Haven Ct.

Tony Julianelle (before 2022)

I am still teaching math at U. of Vermont.  This semester, my courses will be online.  This is not as much fun as face to face but COVID has a say in this.

My wife Ruth has been making and donating face masks and spends as much time as possible at our lake house in the White Mountains.

My daughter Adele is working as an engineer for Medtronics in North Haven, CT.  Seems strange to have her talk about places that I went to over 50 years ago.  My other daughter Claire is a nurse at the U. of Vermont Med Center; working long graveyard shifts; 7 pm to 7 am in the neonatal intensive care unit, NICU.

We are all healthy.  I have a few minor aches but I am doing well for having just turned 70.  Sounds strange to me.

I hiked up Mt. Washington a week ago.  I can still get up the mountain in pretty good time but I am as slow as molasses in January when coming down a steep rocky trail.

Still, I view myself as very fortunate in so many ways; much of which is just luck.
