Miss Ames was born in 1942, taught English at HHS, married to Michael Wollan on August 25,1968, and they both died by accident August 30 1968, in Salt Springs, Nova Scotia.

Hamden HS Cross Country Team

This was the first year HHS had a cross country team. Carl Westburg was the coach. We did very well – 5 wins, 4 losses. Armand Morgan finished first in every meet. The last meet was against Notre Dame and the finish of the race was during half time of the Green Bowl, with a last lap around the track.
The year book reported we won the Notre Dame meet and Tom Hollander came in first. Bernie Zelitch was a member but apparently missed the photo.
