Here is a fairly recent picture. You can’t see the ponytail.
I am alive and kicking. I knocked around multiple locations in the U.S. after high school. I dropped out of college after one semester. Instead of majoring in architecture, I became a carpenter. I did that for almost 20 years, including founding a worker-owned cooperative in Minneapolis that did inner city rehab carpentry for non-profit, community development organizations. I got married in 1984, had a daughter in 1985, and went back to college in the late 80’s. I got a degree in civil engineering and moved back to the upper Midwest. I have lived in the Twin Cities, Minnesota since 1994. I continued to play music and sing, playing in various contra dance bands over the years. In 2002, I got into urban stormwater management, working with cities to reduce water pollution from urban runoff. It has been my life’s work since. I founded a coalition of regulated cities in Minnesota in 2002 and a national coalition in 2016. I am retiring from the Minnesota work but doing more at the national level. It continues to be very satisfying and effective. Take care, Randy |
