Janet Carrano Crean (2022)

Happily retired but still working whenever I want to. I work part time at Quinnipiac University as a Standardized Patient (fake patient) for the med, nursing, PT and OT students.  It is so much fun and love working with the students.  I also have learned a lot about the diagnosis of medical illnesses.  

Besides that, I am a traveling nut.  Last year I went to Warsaw, Krakow, Prague and Vienna.  I’ve been to Italy, Ireland and England.  I have also gone to Barbados for the last 15 years as vacation each year, but I am now taking the plunge and going for two months in 2023.  

I have two children and two grandchildren who are growing too fast.  Soon to be driving.  Glad I don’t have to teach them.  My son is a pilot for Fedex and my daughter is Director of Marketing for Covenant Retirement Homes.  

All is well.  Everyone is healthy and happy and couldn’t ask for anything more.  Can’t believe we are in our 70’s.  Who would have thought?

Just checking in. I’m doing alive and well. Had to cancel my trip to Poland, Prague and Vienna which was scheduled for next month. Oh well hopefully there is next year. I’m keeping busy doing some part time jobs. One that I love is being a standardized patient for the Quinnipiac med students. Basically playing a fake patient. I’m living a Seinfeld episode. Lol. Hope everyone is doing well and glad we can keep in touch this way.
