Debbie Weiner (2022)

Debbie Weiner (Soule) and husband Ben Soule have had a great time of enjoying ‘revenge travel’ (after 2+ years of Covid isolation and restriction), going to Alaska on a cruise in May, and then to Greece in October.  While in Greece, Deb was reunited with the family she had lived with fifty years ago in the town of Ioannina – an amazing reconnection! Deb continues to work (part time) as consulting minister with First Parish in Waltham (Unitarian Universalist) and as a coach and mentor to several religious professionals…she views this as a way to keep connected with her calling and as a nice way to make vacations happen!

Ben has retired from contracting and woodworking, except for small ‘special assignments’; our two daughters are well. One works as restaurant manager for an Italian restaurant in Concord MA; one is a doula and sexuality educator in Brooklyn NY.  Deb and Ben are plotting their next trips – likely to Hawaii or the Caribbean in February, and to the Netherlands and France next October.  They also sing together as part of a world music ensemble in the greater Boston area (the Halalisa Singers).

Life is good!

Deb Weiner (before 2022)

I continue work as an interim religious educator within Unitarian Universalism and am teaching two courses for religious professionals on transitional ministry and adaptive leadership skills – timely for right now.  Ben and I continue to live in Lexington, MA (known as the birthplace of liberty).

We are involved in working for racial justice and equity, singing (now, alas, in distanced ways), gardening, and playing board games.  We hope that the time will come when we can travel again – alas not yet.

I hope you and yours are well.
