Baddeck, Nova Scotia, Canada - Silver Dart Lodge - silverdartlodge.com/
Cape Breton, which is the northwest end of Nova Scotia is one of the most beautiful places to visit. The Silver Dart is about the half way point of Cape Breton, so it is a good center for travelling around. The view of Bras d’Or Lakes is unparalleled. The Silver Dart has individual chalets which are so cozy, comfortable and private. They do offer many different accommodations. This was kind of a tough choice for me, my other favorites were so close. Looking forward to checking out the other lodgings my classmates chose, as travel is the number one thing we can't wait to start again, hopefully soon. - Mavis Wildgoose Florio

Cody, WY - Yellowstone Valley Inn - codyyellowstone.org
I had driven across Wyoming. Eastern Wyoming is boring, yet, Wyoming wins for most majestic. Driving over Big Horn Mountain was thrilling. The scenery was mind blowing. My husband selected this lodging as it said closest to Yellowstone. Close is a relative term. We arrived after sunset. Had a lovely dinner in their saloon. We slept in a cute log cabin. The mountains across the street were amazing. As much as I wanted to enjoy the scenery, Yellowstone was calling. This place isn’t fancy. It was homey, comfortable and worked out well after 12 hours of driving. The amazing place we stayed was out of the west exit from Yellowstone. It was called A River Runs Past It. A 6000ft log home run as a b&B. Unfortunately, they closed. It was the nicest place I ever stayed. - Nancy Baltimore Miles

Yellowstone National Park, WY - Old Faithful Inn - yellowstonenationalparklodges.com/lodgings/hotel/old-faithful-inn/
Great architecture. Great scenery. Used to take tourist there in the summer months with a tour bus then on snow coaches and snowmobiles in the winter months. Great food also. Now all trips are with a truck and travel trailer. - Douglas Tate
