Eydie Hahn Cutler (2022)

Upright and breathing and still have a pulse. Photo of my husband, me,
my almost 99-year-old mom, my grandson and daughter.

Eydie Hahn Cutler (before 2022)

I painted my first oil painting when I was 16. My mother and father bought me a basic oil painting set for Christmas. Instead of painting the photo included with the set I chose to paint my boyfriend of the time.

For the next 15 years I painted or created many portraits and paintings of my children, people's pets and decorated hundreds of ceramic items as gifts.

Then, my life got too busy and the time I spent on my artwork had to be spent elsewhere. Four years ago I began painting and drawing again. I use pastels to create portraits of beloved pets that have passed or are close to their time. I have done these for people all over the United States. It makes me happy to create artwork that gives the owner a remembrance of their pet.

I also have been doing watercolors of scenes around Connecticut.
